Your game stays with you.
VibeGolf does not collect any personal data. Everything you do in the game stays on your own iPhone and Apple Watch. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no analytics.
Who we are
VibeGolf is made by Erik Holm Linden, an independent developer in Stockholm, Sweden, publishing as VibeGolf Studios. If you have any question about privacy, write to support@vibegolfstudios.com.
What the app keeps, and where
On your iPhone
Your calibration, your bag and club numbers, your settings, rounds, scores, handicap, practice sessions and statistics are saved in the app's own storage on your iPhone. The app also keeps small technical logs (for example of swings and sounds) on the phone to help fix bugs. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.
On your Apple Watch
If you play with an Apple Watch, VibeGolf reads the watch's motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) while you are in a round or practice session, to measure your swing. The measurements stay on your watch and your iPhone.
To keep the sensors running when you lower your wrist, VibeGolf starts a workout session on the watch. The app does not read any health data, and the workout is discarded when you stop. Nothing is saved to Apple Health.
When something leaves your device
Only when you choose it, and never to us:
- Multiplayer on the same Wi-Fi. The other players' phones on your local network see the name you choose, your handicap, your tee, your driver carry, your team and your shots. This goes directly between the phones, never through a server, and never leaves the local network.
- GSPro (off by default). If you turn it on, your shot data (ball speed, angles, spin, club) is sent to GSPro on your own computer on the same network. Nothing else is sent.
- Sharing and export. If you share your bag or export your player data, it goes where you send it from the share sheet. Nothing is shared automatically.
The in-game commentator uses your device's built-in voice. Nothing is sent anywhere.
What we never do
- We don't collect, store or receive your personal data.
- We don't sell or share data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
- The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code.
Apple
When you download VibeGolf, Apple handles your purchase and download under Apple's privacy policy. If you have chosen to share app analytics with developers in your device settings, Apple may show us anonymous, aggregated statistics such as the number of installs and crashes. We can't identify you from them.
Children
VibeGolf doesn't collect personal data from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. Because we don't hold any data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete. Your game data lives on your own devices, and you can delete all of it at any time by deleting VibeGolf from your iPhone and Apple Watch.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you, and delete the conversation when it's no longer needed. Our email is delivered to a mailbox at Google (Gmail).
If you think we handle personal data incorrectly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.
This website
vibegolfstudios.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and the fonts are served from our own site. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic technical request data to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse.
Changes
If a future version of VibeGolf starts collecting or sending data (for example online multiplayer or leaderboards), we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top.
